Conventional Therapy
Conventional Therapy rooms require the minimum amount of
interior space and wall thicknesses.
Total Body Irradiation Therapy
To accomodate Total Body Irradiation Therapy procedures, the TBI treatment rooms are
generally 5'-0" (1.5 m) larger between primary barriers
Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy
The secondary wall barriers, for IMRT planned procedures are generally 25%-30% thicker than conventional therapy walls.
Extra shielding can be applied to the exterior or interior of the walls.
Stereotactic Procedures
Rooms that are planned for Stereotactic procedures may allow for a reduction in primary width barriers to as little as two feet.
